Think that Cascade dishwasher detergent is only for dishes?
But first, a quick history lesson.
The history of automatic dishwashers and Cascade dishwasher detergent
Did you know that the first patent for the dishwasher was issued clear back in 1886?
We can all thank one Josephine Cochran for that one! (Apparently, she was fed up doing the dishes, and knowing there HAD to be a better way to get her dishes clean, set out to find one!)
Though basic, the first dishwasher got the job done!
While it was a revolutionary invention, the dishwasher wasn’t commonly found in households until the 1950s.
That’s the dishwasher part. Now the Cascade part.
In 1953, though only about 4% of households even had an automatic dishwasher, Cascade dishwasher detergent entered the market. With its “spotless dishes” promise, it became a favorite and has been at the top of the dishwashing detergent market ever since.
Cascade dishwasher detergent today
With a variety of scents, along with Complete Pacs, Cascade today still promises clean, spotless dishes.
